From a young age, Jimmy Bannos Jr., remembers experiencing Greek cuisine with his family, an influence that helped shape his palate and passion for food. While he’s excited to explore new ideas and approaches to what’s served at Kouklas, he holds deep appreciation for the traditional Greek restaurants he grew up with and continues to enjoy today.
At the bar, classic cocktails are reimagined through a Greek lens, featuring thoughtful spirits, fresh citrus, house-made elements, and a curated wine list with a strong focus on Greece and the Mediterranean.
Our Team
Kouklas is led by acclaimed Chef Jimmy Bannos Jr., a fourth-generation restaurateur and James Beard Award winner, alongside Chef and partner Kevin Stack, his longtime collaborator. Jimmy Bannos Jr.’s love of hospitality is woven into everything he does. After many years exploring a broader Mediterranean menu, he’s excited to finally focus on Greek cuisine and bring this long envisioned concept to life. Together, they combine Bannos’ deep-rooted passion for hospitality and relentless drive for excellence with Stack’s creative partnership and shared dedication to Greek cuisine.
